This line of Semperviva is from Julian Mattucci and it is amazing! They’re not as big as some of the other subtropicalis varieties, but they’re abundant fruiters and very easy to work with. They consistently test between 4-5% for potency as well which is impressive for this species.

Note: the prints were lighter than I was hoping so most orders will include 2. Also, there are a few areas on the backside of the aluminum foil that got discolored due to the isopropyl not drying completely before it was set down. Don’t worry though, it was only on the backside and does not affect the spores at all.
What’s included: Each order includes 1-3 prints, carefully wrapped in sterilized foil. Prints can last several years if stored in a dark, dry, and cool location such as your fridge.
Satisfaction Guarantee: I care about your happiness. If you’re not satisfied for any reason, just email me at support@panaeoluscoop.com and I’ll make it right.

Genus: Psilocybe
Species: P. subtropicalis (Subtrop, Semperviva, Subtropical Psilocybe)
Strain Origin: unknown, but likely somewhere in Mexico.
Climate: Subtropical. Prefers consistent warmth and moderate humidity.
Habitat: Typically found in grassy areas, pastures, and along woodland edges, growing in nutrient-rich soils near decomposing plant material.
Temp: 72°–80°F (22–27°C)
Relative Humidity: 85%–95%
Cap: Small to medium-sized caps (1–3 cm), convex to broadly bell-shaped. Typically caramel or brownish-orange, fading to pale tan as they mature (hygrophanous). Pronounced blue bruising.
Stem: Slender to semi-thick depending on the phenotype. Pale tan or off-white in color and somewhat fibrous. Easily bruises blue when handled.
Gills: Closely spaced, dark purplish-brown to black, and directly attached to the stem. Gills darken distinctly as spores mature.
Spores: Dark purple-brown, elliptical, and smooth. Basidia typically produce four spores (tetrasporic).
Growth Characteristics: Fast colonizer but slightly slower to fruit, with delicate, cottony white mycelium.
Notes: Prefers stable warmth, balanced humidity, and good airflow. Adaptable, but slightly sensitive to fluctuations.
Potency: Limited data, but psilocybin content has tested as low as 0.85% and as high as 4.85%.
