Genus: Psilocybe
Species: P. cubensis (aka Cubes, Magic Mushrooms)
Variety: An albino isolation of TAT (True Albino Teacher) by Jik Fibs
Climate: Tropical and subtropical
Habitat: Found in nutrient-rich pastures, grasslands, and manure-fertilized soils, often near livestock.
Temp: 74°–80°F (23–27°C)
Relative Humidity: 85%–95%
Cap: Dense and rounded, with a soft off-white to ivory color. Young caps are squat and dome-like, maturing into gently upturned, ruffled edges. Fully albino and lacking pigment, with no visible color shift when maturing (non-hygrophanous).
Stem: Thick, chalky white stems that are especially stout in early flushes. Surface often appears matte and textured. Easy blue bruising at the base or when handled.
Gills: Pale to off-white gills that may remain light due to lack of spore pigment. Gills are closely spaced and directly attached to the stem (adnate).
Spores: Since Yeti is a true albino, it produces clear (leucistic) spores, making spore printing difficult or nearly invisible to the eye. Still viable for microscopy when collected properly.
Growth Characteristics: Moderately fast colonizer with dense, bright white mycelium. Fruits are meaty and uniform, with early flushes often producing squat, marshmallow-like mushrooms. Later flushes may elongate slightly but retain thick stems and broad caps.
Notes: Grows best in environments with stable warmth, high humidity, and consistent fresh air exchange.
Potency: Psilocybin content is similar to other P. cubensis varieties, typically ranging between 0.75%–1.75%.
